Los Angeles FC was able to secure all three points for only the second time in the last three matches. Captain Carlos Vela was the hero for the Black & Gold as he secured an early goal and a second-half assist.

LAFC’s attack took advantage of a struggling FC Dallas side and ended the match with 19 shots and eight on target. FC Dallas’ goalkeeper Jimmy Mauer had the performance of his life with six saves including a point blank save on a Jose Cifuentes shot.

This match marks the final of four consecutive home games, so they will have to keep up the momentum as they go on a three-game road trip. Their next match comes at Sporting Park against Sports Kansas City on Saturday afternoon.

  • This marks only Carlos Vela’s fifth goal in 15 games including last season, but after suffering with injuries throughout this season, this performance must be seen as extremely encouraging.
  • Diego Rossi, once again, failed to make a noticeable impact in this game, but continues to garner interest from English clubs, including Tottenhan Hotspur.
  • Latif Blessing netted his first goal of the season through a beautiful pass from Vela. The goal was ruled offside, but VAR overturned the decision and awarded Blessing the goal.
